The Moment. Whether I'm writing or performing on stage, film or television: There is a moment when I know I have reached the pinacle of a character I'm portraying. For it is that moment where someone has been taken by the character I have portrayed. It has grasped his or her attention. And they react without restraint. That is the moment that I appreciate so much in knowing that the debt to the viewer of a good performance of mine has been paid. It makes me want to be a better thespian. It makes me relevant as a humanoid. It makes me know that I'm not a loser. I live for that. And it keeps me out of trouble. For this is more than a job - it is my personal exploration in the world of the performing arts. And so, I carry on . . .
